ROARVOLUTION – The Fresh Beat Festival 2025 Showcases a New Wave of UK Talent at The Camden

Updated: Jun 26

On 1 May 2025, Lions Roar presented ROARVOLUTION – The Fresh Beat Festival at The Camden, London, bringing together a line-up of emerging UK artists performing newly released music from Q1 2025.

The event focused on original material and live performance, positioning itself as a platform for discovery within the independent music scene.

18 Emerging Artists Take to the Stage

The festival featured 18 emerging artists, with headline performances drawn from Lions Roar’s wider artist development and A&R activity.

Each set centred on original releases, with artists presenting material that reflected their individual sound and direction. The line-up covered a range of genres, reflecting the diversity within the UK’s independent music circuit.

Creative Direction by Chinaza King Nazzy

ROARVOLUTION 2025 was curated and directed by Chinaza King Nazzy, who oversaw the event from programming through to delivery.

His role covered artist selection, creative direction, event structure, and overall presentation of the festival.

A Focus on Emerging Talent and New Releases

The concept for the festival was built around one requirement: all performances had to be based on music released in Q1 2025.

This approach placed emphasis on new work rather than established catalogues, giving space for newer artists to present recent output in a live setting.

Industry and Artist Development Context

ROARVOLUTION – The Fresh Beat Festival operated as part of Lions Roar’s wider work in artist development and live event production.

The event provided artists with a structured performance environment and contributed to ongoing efforts to create visibility for independent music in the UK.

The Camden, London

The festival took place at The Camden, 65 Crowndale Road, London, a venue known for hosting live music and emerging talent.
