ROAR Showcase 2024 Brings Together Emerging Artists for Lions Roar's Inaugural Live Music Event

ROAR Showcase 2024 welcomed artists, audiences and independent music supporters to Trilogy Bar & Restaurant in Edgware on 10 December 2024, marking the successful staging of Lions Roar's first live music showcase.

The event featured 14 emerging artists from across the UK, each performing original material across Afrobeats, hip-hop and R&B. Throughout the evening, performers took to the stage before a live audience, creating an atmosphere that celebrated independent music, creativity and collaboration.

Curated by Chinaza King Nazzy, the showcase brought together a diverse programme of artists while providing an opportunity for performers to gain live experience and connect with audiences beyond digital platforms. The event also welcomed producers, creatives and supporters of independent music, reinforcing Lions Roar's vision of building a platform centred on artist development.

Audience engagement remained strong throughout the evening, with attendees supporting performers from start to finish and contributing to an atmosphere that reflected the growing enthusiasm surrounding independent live music events.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Star Performer Award, which was decided through a live audience vote. The award recognised the performer who made the strongest impression on the night, reflecting the audience's appreciation for stage presence, performance quality and overall connection with the crowd. The initiative formed part of Lions Roar's commitment to celebrating emerging talent and encouraging excellence in live performance.

ROAR Showcase 2024 represents an important milestone in Lions Roar's journey and laid the groundwork for the company's expanding programme of live music events, including future editions of ROAR Showcase and the development of larger-scale productions under the Lions Roar banner.
